Scale Modelers

LRSM are a group of scale model builders who come together to share their work and ideas and generally enjoy the hobby.

We meet every fourth Friday of the month (barring special occasions such as our Holiday Party)

Meetings consist of Club Business followed by Show and Tell and the a Raffle. We also try to schedule guest speakers, such as WWII veterans and members of the hobby industry to discuss the things we model and aspects of the modeling business.

From the President

Welcome to the Lakes Region Scale Modelers Club. We are a chapter of the USA branch of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS) and our members have varied modeling interests. We build model airplanes (military and civilian), cars (from street to classic to racing), military hardware (tanks, trucks, and artillery), ships, sci-fi subjects, trains, and figures (historical, fantasy, and movie). As a family oriented organization, we have members from all age groups. We have monthly modeling discussions, raffles, and guest speakers. Mainly we gather to have fun in our hobby and encourage each other. Come as a guest and stay as a friend and club member.
